DIY or DFM: Which is Better?

The universe we live in apparently has a service for all our specific needs. A super-busy mommy can have a full-time maid to handle the household chores, a shopkeeper can hire a server to manage his customers and a website owner can give a handsome pay to get the processes done.

In a day and age, there is no such demand that couldn’t be satisfied using a complimentary service. An entrepreneur of today is beset with countless, backbreaking tasks, which he is liable to undertake in his fiery pursuit ofsplendid success. However, such is the magnitude of stress that he couldn’t able to execute what’s planned, as a result of which, the business crashes down like a pack of cards.

As far as constructing a value-based business is concerned, the brand identity hold all the aces. No doubt, optimum allocation of resources is essential for a successful business, but the significance of a logo cannot be challenged. The very first lessons of any business class teach us about the need of efficiency and productivity at the workplace. While some operational tasks can be executed in-house, others call for professional assistance in return of a cost, especially logo designing.

Logo designers are responsible for the run or ruin of a business. An unique, trend-orientedlogonot only helps in finding a feet, but also evoking a disproportionate amount of audience interest. Only Logo Design Professional services work in huge favor of a company, but what lands business in a pickle is high costing.

A business owner never forgets to indulge in some cost-cutting exercises, however, it is not a feasible option to carry outlogo tasks on his own. Under such a situation, he doesn’t set the business in the right way, but only muddles through. Cost-savings may seem beneficial in the short-term, but it has its own ramifications.

The narrow question that has long remained untouched is why do we move solo when we are privileged to have Logo professional services at our disposal?  Through this article, we have made an attempt to clear the confusion between DIY (Do-It-Yourself) and DFM (Do-It-For-Me).

•    Time is Precious, Make Good Use of It

Time is of paramount importance, a critical resource when a company is small. Using it efficiently can raise the brand level, accelerate the growth and unlock big gains. Prior to plunging in any task and throwing all caution to the winds, put up a question to yourself – ‘How much time are you ready to commit to logo designing process?’ Your mind will soon take a stock of the entire situation. If you receive a ‘Yes’, go for it. If hesitation persists, get someone to do it for you.

•    Experience Counts

Everyone would countenance the fact that experience is irreplaceable. It has no language, but speaks aloud. Experience is all about knowing the tricks of the trade and countering the uncertainties with due diligencethat may show upin the course. A logo professional is an asset, who utilizes his store of knowledge for a company’s benefit, obviously in exchange of some fee. He not only helps facilitate the brand recognition process and apply his skills to notch up favorable outcomes, but also underlines the flagrant pitfalls and suggest ways to fix them. Without an experienced logo professional, a business may appear in tatters on account of numerous callous decisions and lack of the desired expertise.

•    Consistency

Building a brand identity and ensuring its consistency is of great significance. Without a familiar face, a business can easily get weighed down by its rivals and slip into extreme darkness. Companies put in sincere efforts for crafting a marketing team not simply for leisure. There is a strong purpose behind it – building a unique identity. However, more than uniqueness, it demands consistency. The task of brand recognition requires competence and skills, which isn’t possible when a business is riding on the DIT model. Only a logo expert can yield outstanding results. Qualified professionals are well equipped with the relevant information to buttress a brand’s image and know what elements must be assimilated together to produce ascintillating effect.

•    Social Media

To reach the competitive edge, it is imperative to stay in the eyes of the customers and strike a good rapport with them. No matter how knowledgeable a business owner is, there is no chance for him to remain updated with the latest logo developments and Social Marketing strategies. Absence of anLogo and social media expert creates a void in the organizational framework, which is disastrous for a company’s digital image. Until you aren’t sure about your logo designing skills, a solo approach can cost you dearly. By resorting to DIT, you are simply barking the wrong tree. So, bring in a professional, monetize his knowledge, get optimized identity and pull traffic to your site.

I second what is written here. When it comes to web design and graphics, DIY may look tempting, but childish to a great extent. Unless you get professional assistance, long term benefits are hard to come by.
