Symbolism In Logo: The On Going Trends
Designing a logo is not just the placing of images or text. It is far more complex because it involves an intriguing process where creativity, professionalism and expertise all are harnessed into a unique whole for producing the best possible impact. A sight variation in the color scheme or using a different font type can change the look and feel of a logo. Each color, each font, each minute object that is used in the process of logo design has a unique symbolic value. For example, you can’t use Halloween font while designing a logo for an IT organization because this would look weird. Use of symbols in the process of logo design has gained enormous popularity because this helps an organization to convey its message to its targeted audience and at the same time, it helps an organization to reflect its nature without making any effort. Therefore the use of symbols has to be done with due care and consideration otherwise; the entire effort might botch up miserably which you will certainly like to avoid at any cost.
The responsibility of Logo Designer
Before you start designing a logo, you need to make sure the fact that you have a fair understanding of the nature of the service offered by that organization. If you fail to interpret it properly, you are bound to mess up the entire thing. However, just forming a fair understanding of the nature and the service of an organization is not the end of the task rather; it is just the beginning of the designing process. You either have to design unique shape or have to choose proper shapes or symbols that will depict the nature of the organization deftly. It has to be unique and at the same time, it should be powerful enough to grab the attention of the targeted audience.
Some Successful Stories
- Citi Bank – Brilliant Concept: Practical use of symbolism in logo design is not few and far between. Just take the logo of Citi Bank for example. What it has? It just has a minimalist look and has font and a curve red line, which looks more or less like an umbrella and thereby symbolizing protection and financial security. Now, what else you need to grab the attention of the viewers. A bright idea and the proper placing of symbol can make all the difference.
- Nike – Simplicity: Nike logo is another successful story. Its logo is very simple and does not have more than just a right sign and four alphabets. So what’s the secret of its success? It is not just a brilliant concept rather; it is simplicity, which makes all the difference. Its simplicity helps the viewers to remember it quickly and thus plays a pivotal role in its immense successes.
Maintaining the Right Balance:
This holds the key to success. Simplicity and symbolism both have to be intertwined for generating the perfect shape of a logo. Do not make a logo overboard with a number of symbols because it will ultimately lead to confusion and unnecessary complications. Just make it simple.

The Key selling point of a Summer Time watch is that they are designer watches at an amazingly affordable price all of the range of 9 watches are only £29.99 which makes them easily accessible to all ages and makes it less than half the price of its main competitors. It is not only the price though that will make the new Summer Time watch range appeal to fashionistas and everyday people alike. All of the Summer Time watches come with thick rubber straps which come in an array of colours from pink to white and of course there is black for those people who are looking for a watch to go with every outfit.
